TransPennine Express operates regional rail services between Manchester Airport, Manchester, Leeds, York, Northallerton, Yarm, Thornaby and Middlesbrough, amongst other destinations.
Northern Rail provides local rail services, as well as connecting the Borough with Middlesbrough, Redcar, Saltburn, Darlington, Hartlepool, Sunderland, Newcastle and Carlisle, amongst other destinations.
