Home > Travel & Transport > Durham Tees Valley Airport

Durham Tees Valley Airport is rapidly expanding, and a number of scheduled and charter flights are operated from here.

The Airport is set in a fantastic location, just 25 miles south of Durham and 5 miles east of Darlington, on the A67. The airport can be easily accessed from the A1(M), A19 and the A66. Darlington train station is a short taxi ride away with regular services from York, Durham and Newcastle.

All departing passengers who booked their flights/holidays are now required to pay a Passenger Facility Fee (PFF) to depart from Durham Tees Valley Airport.

Durham Tees Valley Airport has two Travelex bureau de change outlets, one in the main check-in hall and one in departures near WH Smiths.

Cashpoint machines are located on the main concourse beside the Travelex counter and in the departure lounge.

Parking:
There are now two separate car parks for passengers to use upon their arrival at the airport.

The main car park is situated in front of the terminal building and a ‘drop off-pick up' car park can be found to the side of the terminal building. There will be no charge to drivers using the ‘drop off-pick up' car park for up to 15 minutes.

Car Rentals:
A selection of car rental operators is available in the arrivals area. A dedicated car rental car park is also located in close proximity to the terminal building.

Car Rental companies currently operating at Durham Tees Valley Airport include Avis, Europcar and Hertz.
