Castlegate Quay Watersports Centre is probably the largest and best equipped sailing and paddling centre in the Tees Valley. They can teach beginners how to paddle kayaks/canoes or how to sail and its done in a way that's enjoyable to all. If you've done it before, fear not as they also cater for the more experienced users through the many clubs based at the centre. A diverse range of fun, water-based activities provides plenty of choice. Try kayaking, sailing, bell boating and the exhilaration of power boating! Or you could opt for our multi-activity day which lets you try a bit of everything. Not only will you feel revitalised following your water-based thrills, you can achieve R.Y.A. (Royal Yachting Association) and B.C.U. (British Canoe Union) qualifications too. The centre is superbly equipped to offer corporate/team building events combining the watersports with the corporate facilities. The 'wardroom' has fantastic views overlooking the River Tees providing an ideal venue for small conferneces, meetings, presentations and private functions.
